About Me

Hey, I’m Samir.

Part strategist, part storyteller, and part guy-who-can-fix-your-website-at-midnight-if-he-has-to (and probably will, because servers have a sense of humor about timing).

I run Tonic, a digital agency where we turn exciting challenges like “make it pop” and “can we make it more dynamic?” into brands and platforms that actually work. It’s like being a translator, except instead of languages, I’m bridging the gap between big dreams and functional code.

Been at this for over 20 years now, which means I’ve collected enough stories, insights, and random observations to fill several hard drives. I’m part brand architect, part problem solver, and part digital detective who gets genuinely excited about solving tricky puzzles whether they’re technical, creative, or just life in general.

When I’m not diving deep into strategy sessions or celebrating another successful launch, you’ll find me wandering random streets with my camera, chasing light and pretending I know what I’m doing. Or I’m at home getting thoroughly outplayed by gamers who make Counter-Strike look effortless while I’m still figuring out which button does what. Sometimes I fire up the old PlayStation for some nostalgic therapy, usually with questionable snack choices involved.

This blog is basically my public brain dump the unfiltered thoughts that bounce around my head about everything and nothing. Sometimes it’s work stuff and creative insights. Other times it’s random observations about life, travel mishaps, gaming rants, photography experiments, or whatever rabbit hole I’ve fallen down this week. Think of it as the digital equivalent of those 3 AM conversations that somehow solve all the world’s problems.

Fair warning: My brain jumps around a lot. One day I might be dissecting why certain designs work, the next I could be ranting about airport coffee or sharing photos from some random alley that caught my eye. There’s no grand plan here, just authentic thoughts from someone who finds patterns and stories in pretty much everything.

If you’re okay with a mix of professional insights, personal rambling, and the occasional existential crisis about whether I’m adulting correctly, welcome to the chaos. Coffee definitely recommended.
